Light through maple glass
About Riaryru Bass Lake
Riaryru Bass Lake is a small browser game about a northern lake, a precious nest and the creatures that guard it. It runs on your own device, costs nothing and asks nothing in return.
A lake made of glass
Picture an autumn evening light falling through a church window onto a still lake. Each coloured pane is a patch of water, each dark lead line a reed bed or a pine root. At the far end of the water the royal bass guards her nest, and the invaders know the way.
How the defense works
Pike and catfish follow a winding channel from the edge of the map. You spend shells to place herons, nets and otters on the shore and upgrade them as the waves grow stronger. Survive all ten waves with at least one heart and the nest is safe. Your score adds every invader stopped plus a bonus for each heart left.
The maple window
On your first visit a window of eight glass panes turns by itself and stops on one gift: extra shells, more hearts, slower invaders, a free otter and more. The result is picked at random in your browser, lasts for the current session and only changes how this game plays.
Free to play, nothing more
There are no purchases, deposits or prizes, and shells, points and gifts can never be exchanged for money or anything of value. Riaryru Bass Lake is not a gambling product and does not imitate betting. It is a strategy puzzle with fish.
For adult players
The site is meant for adults aged 19 and over. Play at your own pace, take regular breaks, and remember that a good score here says nothing about luck anywhere else.
